Media bias is a serious issue since many of us receive our news and information from the media. As such the bias of media organisations can perpetuate our own, exacerbating prejudice and socio-cultural divide. What's more, I am concerned with public distrust in the media and its consequences. If we do not trust the media to inform us and provide equal view on social issues, then we may fall back on our prejudices.
