from what i’ve tried in the yr 11 chemistry course, peter is not the teacher, but it’s a 2020 hsc graduate teaching it.

he’s pretty good tho

Would you guys recommend it?
Are the resources good and how in-depth is it? Is the HW set challenging? Are his explanations in-depth and well explained and they help with structuring responses and answering questions?

i only did the trial lessons and decided not to continue, but in terms of his teaching, i feel that it is quite good and concise. however, personally (compared to maths at du), the lecture notes are a bit weirdly formatted and the homework (at least for week 1/2 of the yr 11 course) only had 5 pages.

im doing it atm and its pretty bad. lecture notes are overly verbose and the questions are far too easy both in lesson and for homework. I'm doing y12 btw. they basically take every hsc question so you can just get the strive hsc textbook and thats basically dr du chem hw. my teacher basically reads the lectures notes word for word and then maybe writes up an equation on the board. im doing online until the end of the term and its a bit better as i don't have to essentially waste 2.5 hours listening to a teacher dictate lecture notes to me, but still im pretty sure there are better places to go.

peter is a pretty nice teacher though, i did my trial with him. another thing to note is that the pace is extremely quick eg. atm peters class is up to mod 7 when at school we just finished mod 5

definitely give peters class a try though and see if you like it.

though do note that my experience is pretty negative and i feel like i shouldnt have started chem tutoring because my school teacher is already pretty good and i prefer self learning with the plethora of resources online

For Peter, do you remember what his teaching style is like, is like straight from the workbook or is it liek expanded and explained more, and if so how thorough is he?
