Just so i'm sure about this, all tut's are elected online - none in class?? only because i can't make it on monday so i'll miss out on 2/4 of my first lectures.

cheers bassman
nope, not all tutes are elected online - some classes you can just turn up to any tute, or register in one of the first classes

Thats the student intranet site. Under 'Academic Programs' you should see 'Registration System'. From that point you login, select the school (s) that is applicable to you and you'll then find your courses, well when they become available that is.

Is anyone else having problems getting into the enrolling thing. I keep clicking the button but it keeps saying I haven't aggreed to the Terms and Conditions, but when I click the button to agree it just goes back to the same page. It's irritating me I've no idea what I should do.

Ah right well I'll just keep trying. It actually says on the main page thing that I've accepted them but yeah.

Oh well I'll work it out in the end.

not so sure

however, does anyone know when we're supposed to go to uni and pay the uni/union fees?

You should be receiving an enrolment package from the university in the coming days. I'm pretty sure that this would outline when those fees are due to be paid.

if you are on a mac, download Mozilla as i.e. doesn't handle scripts verywell on macs. i couldn't get past entering my contact, mail and emergency contact details using i.e., but mozilla runs fine. maybe true for pc's too - mozilla is goods.

Im trying to enrol at the moment...a bit confused

I am doing Mechanical Engineering so i went to the My program thingy and it says(in order):

Year 1 (80 units)

MECH1350 Introductory Mechanics

MATH1110 Mathematics 111 (Enrolment in semester 1 recommended.)

ELEC1300 Electrical Engineering 1

MECH1040 Introduction to Engineering

PHYS1220 Advanced Physics II

MATH1120 Mathematics 112 (Enrolment in semester 2 recommended)

MECH1080 Engineering Computations 1

MECH1220 Computer Aided Engineering

(they are all 10 units each)

Now what do i do? do i put the course things (eg. MECH1350) in the search thing? in the order listed??

can someone help?

the order doesnt matter

you can

a) search for them one at a time

b) search for subjects at a 1000 level with the prefix MECH, PHYS, MATH, ELEC

So i just choose those subjects i listed?

it says max of 50 units per semester think, and there are only 40 listed

this is pissing me off big time....whats the use of choosing our subjects? i thaught they were chosen 4 us in the first year?

haha, my sister said the same thing.. she didn't get it!

I dunno how to explain it, YOU have to ENROL in the subject... so you agree to pay HECS and crap like that I guess?

Just add it to your course basket, 4/semester (assuming you want to do full-time).

Engieneering is special in that way. However, when you have elective you have to choose them. I'm sure it's just easier for the Uni this way.
