contemp society and text and traditions... what about you?

also, do you know if all the four core arts units are compulsory this year? i really want to do something like this for semester 1
law subject

same as you...

from everything that i've read..they are compulsory...but you start your major in 2nd year anyway...i wouldnt recommend swapping first year core subs to 2nd year....might have some clashes etc.

what times did you get?

i just posted my timetable on the timetable 2010 thread.

i've put all my law and arts subjects on tuesday and friday.

text and traditions - tues 10-11
contemp society- fri 9-10

Me too! except im a bit later, as i preferred it: both 12 - 1 hehe

I was gonna cramp it to 3 days by shoving torts after arts lec. However I dont know what the workload is and im scared I'll fall behind etc etc LOL -_-'' So hopefully in sem2, if I can handle the workload without dying, i'll most likely cramp to 3 days.

Cos 3 days is pretty good, you can work etc etc. Hopefully I can still find work..LOL -_-''

lol.

probably not..i transferred from macquarie (their law dept. is going downhill) and UWS' is going up.

Might consider going back to Macq but it doesn't matter...not really about the uni...plus if i go back to Macq my marks will go down cos all my friends will distract me again.

If I get the marks, I'd love to transfer to UNSW. I missed out by a couple of ATAR points this year because I didn't do well enough in math throughout the school year. Still, I can't be sure until I get into this year and see whether I even want to continue doing Law. Yourself?

Btw, to the above poster, what do you mean by saying the Macquarie Law department is 'going down hill'?

The Law Faculty at Macq is under-funded and i guess in mrsajmon23's case, unappealling to anyone wanting to attain a law degree at the uni.

I'd also like to transfer to UNSW, ANU, or UTS. I was a few points off from going to UNSW.

My sister got into arts/law at unsw with 96.35. She applied for access as she was sick throughout the year. I could have applied for access but at the time i thought it was only to be used for illness :-(

Dang, that sucks! But at least you still got into Law at UWS and won't have to spend a year studying one thing only to transfer into another. So I guess it's alright because you'll be studying for a year and will hopefully be able to transfer after first/second semester.

Law at UTS isn't that great either...let's just say its not their strongest faculty.

haha sorry for the late reply. Thats what I'll like to know too. Im assuming EAS.
But of course it is considered as the "top 3" , I couldnt believe it too.
