Hmmm...This does not bode well for my chances in this course, but I need help with finding historians/ material for my project. I was wondering if anyone could maybe suggest anything?

The topic which I chose was the 1751 'gin crisis', & whether the 'gin act' that was passed helped the crime situation much.

Can anyone suggest some historians, & how I might be able to find their work, or other material?
It would be good to have something written during, before or just after the gin act was passed, but I'm not sure if it's possible.
Anyway, any help, or any suggestions on how to go about reshearching for this would be appreciated very much!

So far, I have thought of only two historians:
Henry Fielding & his work: "An Inquiry into the Late Increase in Robbers.". However, I am having great trouble in tracking down an online version of this. Does anyone know if libraries (Sydney, I guess...) would have this? Or know of where I can find an online copy of it...
Also a chapter from "The Ftal Shore"" by Robert Hughes.
Any comment on the suitability of these would also be appreciated.
