i want to get into medicine too, so i looked on the university websites and spoke to the careers advisor. do not choose maths just for medicine, because that's not what they're looking for. if you're good at it and enjoy it then definately do it, but not just for medicine. all they want is a good english score. chemistry and/or physics and/or biology is reccomended so you've got that covered. and just fill the rest with what you want to do. it is a lot easier to top a subject you enjoy

i am doing ext. english (soon ext. 2), advanced maths, bio, chem, SOR1 (compulsory at my school) and drama. drama is so much fun and it isn't demanding. you do have to manage your time, but it's easy.

I'm probably going to do legal:). I done a few prac. questions on the net for UMAT. it was alright but does it get harder?:burn:
not really. legal is pretty easy if you know your stuff. its quite content based but nothing challenging. the thing that gets most people in legal is the words evaluate and effectiveness which arent even hard concepts anyway.
do legal :)

That also seems to be everyone's problem in modern, and they struggle with the term Analyse and assess too >.>

Okay, so we're getting closer to the SC. and in my school if i dont get a decent mark in eng and math I won't make it into ext maths/ adv english. so i'm a tad worried. I'm making notes for subjects, doing online quizzes and many past papers. is there anything else that'll help me for the sc? I'm worried:cold:, but most of my friends elder than me told me that it should be fine.

Trials begin first week back next term for me and I'm preparing :shy:

and thanks heaps to everyone who posted a reply and helped out. I definitely want to do med and most probably at UNSW because I just loved the lectures I attended this open day and also the whole and campus and the students/staff. It was a very homely, fun and BIG place. :):)
