NATIONAL SERVICE OR CONSCRIPTION

63,740- conscripts
15, 542 sent to Vietnam

POLITICAL

- 1966-1969- Arthur Calwell
- 1972- Gough Whitlam

WOMEN
Save our sons

YOUTH (uni students)
-Youth Against Conscription
-Monash Uni Labor Group

MORATORIUM
-1970- All groups came together to protest
-Labor, Liberal, and Country party
-Mothers and Fathers
-Religious
-Youth
-Trade Unions

*Vietnam ends 1972
*18 December 1972 end of conscription
*Vietnam war concludes finally in 1975
*Conclusion- north and south Vietnam become communist Vietnam
* Australia's response to Vietnam Veterans
-public apathy or antagonism
-no official welcome back until late 1980's

Well thats the summary that was in my book on that dot point sorry if it doesent make to much sense.
I would say just look up women (save our sons), youth (the protest rallies) and trade unions (there would not be enough young men of working age [dont quote me on that one tho check it])

It should all be in your textbook, if you need anymore help i will see what i can do, post your question up.

Sorry if all of the above doeseent make too much sense, if was only in point form and a summary, yeah you really should of asked me this last year lol. :)

At our school,we can't take txtbks home and if ur not allowed to do dat that then pop in at recess and lunch and ask da teacher for some txtbks and write down notes in ur own time (i.e. recess and lunch) or ask if u could borrow it for one night or sumfing like dat.
