Hypothetically if you got +3 bonus points for EAS and you got 96.5 ATAR does that give you a selection rank of 99.5?
La Trobe Uni has an ATAR adjustment calculator and having 4 adjustment points changed a 98 to a 98.55 is it anything similar to that?

don't people get scaling above 99 to make it into usyd med? (99.95 but they make it in with 99.6)
Not scaling, but alignment points. If they band 6'd specific subjects (usually english and/or math adv-ext2) that allows for up to 2 alignment points and lets them make it in.

im not sure why la trobe does it like that but i know unsw does the first thing you said. I recieved an atar of 95.15 and unsw law had a requirement of 97.7, because i had eas they probably gave me 2/3 adjustment points since i got into unsw law
