How much prelim content is relearnt in the hsc? Feels like we cover so much of it in the hsc syllabus?
What’s tricky about the multiple choice questions?i was looking at hsc and trial papers and a lot of the MCQ seem quite difficult/tricky but the short answer questions are the most generic ones ever. Like e.g describing something u learnt in the syllabus, it doesn't throw curveballs/ just asking questions where you really need to understand the content well to be able to figure it out like in science? Is it easier because people have to write two essays afterwards?
everyone says mcq is hard including past students after i searched it up , and looking at them myself they r not always straightforwardWhat’s tricky about the multiple choice questions?
I wouldn’t say that about the short answer questions. I would argue it has and does through curveballs. But you are right in that if you understand the content , you’ll be able to answer any of the questions. I also wouldn’t say that they’re easier just because 2 essays are right after.
no ur right, some legal hsc essay qs r word for word from the syllabusp.s why the hell are some essay questions like last years last question essay just straight up from the syllabus like the one about exchange rates is literally word for word in the syllabus, Its weird cuz no other subjects do this
'yooo I'm getting asked syllabus qns'no ur right, some legal hsc essay qs r word for word from the syllabus
Most subjects don’t ask questions that are word for word from the syllabus because it makes it really easy to memorise your response, which doesn’t show actual understanding. Getting asked word for word syllabus questions is pretty weird'yooo I'm getting asked syllabus qns'
yeah bro thats crazy
Fair enough - ig you're right, especially when there's more than one answereveryone says mcq is hard including past students after i searched it up , and looking at them myself they r not always straightforward
But short answer looks like syllabus dotpoints just put into a sentence it doesnt seem to have any curveballs
p.s why the hell are some essay questions like last years last question essay just straight up from the syllabus like the one about exchange rates is literally word for word in the syllabus, Its weird cuz no other subjects do this
no it gets a bit hectic when the syllabus is so content heavy tho, sometimes ur able to memorise a couple of case studies to apply to a range of questions but with economics and legal, its a lot harder to answer questions than long-response physics or chem questions, for example'yooo I'm getting asked syllabus qns'
yeah bro thats crazy
No not for economicswill i need to study for any prelim topics
yes for mx1 if u forgot combs and binoms etc.will i need to study for any prelim topics
It's helpful so yes but you don't need to read all of itshould i actually read the textbook cuz many ppl do but i just have no time to read a whole book?
