i have to do a one page assesment on dp 1.1
"discuss the issues associated with shrinking world resources with regard to one identified natural product that is not a fossil fuel, identifying the replacement materials used and/or current research in place to find a replacement"

i was wondering if anyone could suggest a good product to choose, preferably one with plenty of info available

For our equivalent of that assessment i used rubber and styrene butadiene rubber as the subsitute.

In practice, i.e for exams etc, I just referred to petrol and ethanol, hydrogen fuel, solar power, wind power etc etc...
