What are your thoughts about the IT exam? Anyone think it will be overly hard?

i dont think it will be hard at all
it is just basic stuff that should be common sense. i know a fair bit about computers and all that stuff comes naturally to me, but im not studying at all. One reason is because i have a 3u maths exam the same day, and the other is that i dont have anything to study, no notes, nothing.

what does everyone else think?

Yea - I am the same - I am going to do a little bit of study for it, but I do 6 units of computers all up, and what I learn in the others can basically be used in IT (plus it all comes pretty naturally to me too, which helps)

i'm just studying OH&S/ergonomics...the rest i think will be pretty simple and straight forward

It was an Alright test and there were some parts that were common sense and others were just easy.

Did any think there was a Pattern in the multiple choice lke BB DD CC?

Yep there was a pattern, coz i was wondering if my answers were wrong...

Anyway what did you guys put for the SQL question? i said nobody because state = nsw, state was not defined in the database only address3 was.

wasn't it something like

SELECT FNAME from customers (i think)
WHERE State = "NSW" AND Sex = "M"

?

eh i can't remember

but the address was split up into address, state, postcode...

wasn't it?

I had mike smith at first, but then noticed state was not in the database, it was named 'address3'.

i gave a pretty long explanation of it anyway.

That test was the biggest waste of two hours of my life!!

well i left early, cause i filled up both my books and finished about 30 mins early, before checking my answers etc

but i admit, i was tricked in that state thing now you mention it, i didn't even see it

did anyone notice in the last question in section three had a typo..
there was a date that actually went back in time..

well i said it was them not filling out the log properly

yeah i noticed that. i used that date in there and put 01 but then in brackets after it put *shouldnt it be 02* now im starting to think that was a real bad idea
