A friend told me that although Science has a higher lectur load than arts, there's less need for outside study 'cause u cover more in class?

Is this true would u say?

'cause i wanna work 17hours per week, on top of uni, i wanna know if i can handle it

i dont think thats true, for a science degree, there is a lot of pre-work and post work for pracs, and some of the concepts are pretty hard, so you will need to study outside of uni hours. With a load of say 24-26 hours per week, i personally wouldnt want to work more than 15 or so hours per week. But it depends how much time you have to spend travelling, cooking, cleaning etc...
