what are the rough raw marks you should get for the class tests and the final for a final mark of 75+?

Class tests are really easy compared to final exam... you'd probably need 9 or 10 in class test all the time.

your course pack should have past papers.. just have a look at them. its similar every year. so basically, if you can do well with your past papers, you will do well in your final exam as well.

Caution: They usually don't award any HDs for ordinary level courses.

that's not true. I have friends who scored HD in math1131. and also I've got HD for fund chem. you can get HD for ordinary level courses. and it's not that hard if you try.

I mean a low percentage. This means almost no HDs in 2nd yr for ordinary level courses.

i dont think they care about who they let enrol in the higher maths courses. One girl who is in my higher chem lecture got ~80 uai and is doing all higher subjects????

In the maths information booklet, it does say that all grades from Fail to HD will be awarded in all streams of maths.

if you do get CR or higher in 1131, and if you want to, then you can move up to 1241 in 2S.

Use those equations to derive series expansions for sin and cos.
