personally i get motivated naturally if i get good marks, coz that'll encourage me to keep it up
if i get shit marks then i just end up convincing myself not to give up or I'll end up like the dropkicks at my school...

My motivation was to do the best I could and to beat a friend, because my course cut-offs not matter what were always considerably lower than my expected or capable ATAR... motivation lacked on occasion. Just find anything to drive you.
