What are you planning to use it for though? gaming maybe? because if you were to say, "ima use it for uni", I would say no. Put that sort of money into a desktop for pleasure, and purchase a $900.00 Compaq or Acer laptop.

I have an IBM Thinkpad T40 Pentium M 1.5Ghz, 512MB's RAM, 40GB HDD, DVD player doesn't recognise DVD+RW, motherboard keeps beeping and laptop continues to crash (the motherboard requires pressure placed on it for the laptop to boot up), but, I use it for uni and it does the job.
