Our teachers remember when uni used to be free, and students were given a living allowance. Why can't they just stop giving money to private schools and funnel it back into public education?

It's not like the government goes out to screw a whole heap of people even though a lot of people think differently. It works on a larger scale and when you've got campuses all over the country with 10's of thousands of students each, you cannot cater for everyone's individualistic needs. It works on things by looking at the bigger picture and most times, there will always be things which go against someone who is affected.

And Arts at 90+ UAI..... maybe it might be time to consider your university options... like not choosing a uni course over the equivilent offered at another uni, only because the UAI is higher meaning it 'must be better because the entry requirements are higher'..... I've always wondered if UWS had a law degree needing a 98 to get in, how many would strive towards it just because it seems very elite.
