Ok this is gonna sound really lame but when i was in like year 6/7 and stuff i used to read all these cool mystery series and high school bimbo books. I absolutely lovedddd Emily Rhodda's 'Teen power inc.' series. I also loved this series called 'mystery kids'. Actually, I even loved the babysitters club and the sweet valley high series haha lameeeee. Oh and I cant forget R.L Stine's 'Fear Street' series. Anyway, im too old for these books now. But yeah does anyone know of these books, and perhaps a new book/series that are alot like those books, but more suited for an older audience? Thankssss. I just loved those books, i wanna relive the experience!!!

Yeah sunny, the one who did tai kwon do or sumthing? hehe and tom, the chubby guy with curly hair, and nick the cool guy who hated tom. Haha i love that series!

i liked teen power inc it was cool! i also liked animorphs, and everworld series and Remnants... although i think that series died out before it was finished, suddenly i couldnt find the books in stores anymore

lol, i thought exactly the same way until i read the first one - "harry potter?? a boy wizard? omg like HOW LAME and childish. everyone must be so immature to go so crazy about it" and i purposely avoided it until a copy ended up in our house as a birthday present.

sat down and read it in one afternoon to see what all the fuss was about and was instantaneously hooked. 6 years later, i remain an enormous fan - if anything, my adulation of harry potter has increased as the years go by.

Goosebumps man, Every week I'd buy a new one, read it that evening and be pissed off without any more to read for the next 6 days.

it's funny, I was heavily into Orwell and Barker by then, despite being 9 or 10, but theres soemthing about the instant pulp thats just marvellous.

It doesn't mean anything and every so often, that' enjoyable for escapism.

i loved Teen Power Inc!!!!
i liked Animorphs and Goosebumps too... and the Everworld books.... i dont care that people think theyre childish or whatever... they were excellent when i was young.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Roald Dahl...I loved his book when I was a kid, Matilda, Charlie and the chocolate factory, The great glass elevator, james and the giant peach, the BFG, so many more great ones!! YAY!!lol

i didnt like James and ther Giant Peach... but i liked all the rest! not Witches tho.
