Wasnt da electron traveling in a circle so den dere aint no special relativity because it aint an inerial frame of reference???

If a space ship is travelling in circle does that mean it aint an inertial frame of reference? :O

think about it
a spaceship fixed above earth vs. orbiting
astronauts feel weight vs. weightlessness

but if you are in an inertial frame you can't tell if you're still or moving, therefore orbiting isn't an inertial frame

How about getting a fast spaceship and flying in a circle around the sun.

That isn't inertial frame?

therefore as v approaches infinity (the speed of light) B becomes infinitely small

no where will you find an inertial frame of reference, you will always be in some gravitational field, hence accelerating. And because of this, special relativity has no business to do with the real world, atleast anywhere close to the earth

There's more to it than that. You have to take into account that the mass will increase according due to relativity and that the velocity is increasing, so in the equation F=mv^2/r (since its centripetal), both m and v are increasing and r is remaining constant, so F is becoming mother fucking huge in order to maintain that constant radius.

cuz u r asked about the effect on B and relativistic effects of time and length has no effect on B...

i didnt mean time dilation and length contraction wouldnt occur, just that the question doesnt ask anything about that

relativity has fuck all to do with it.
as the partcile gets faster, mass and spped increase.
there fore a greater force is required to hold it in circular path (f=mv^2/r) hence requiring increased B, and as v increases (f=bqv)
mv^2/r=bqv
mv/r=bq
b=mv/qr
q and r are constant, and as m and v are increasing, B must increase.
all u ever have to do is equate magnetic and centrifugal force.

yeah im pretty sure suken eyes is right... but i didnt use that many equations lol i did "an english answer" to it lol cause thats wat this new "physics" course wants
