u should know by know the pH is related to [H+] (concentration of H+), which not only depends on the acid or base (ie its strength), but also its concentration.

Therefore, a better question would be:

"i was jst wanderin can anyone tell me the pH of 1 mol/L Garden lime. i know its basic but i just wanted to know the pH so i can put it in the table."

Do you mean lime the citrus fruit or lime the crushed rock.

Based on your wording you mean the fruit which has a pH less than 2.

the dot point asks for natural sources, and to say whether they are acidic, neutral or basic and on my notes i had wuickly jotted down garden limes and basic but obviously that is wrong.

thanks
