ok ok
so im worried now, ive seen some posts referring to the use of a 'general' essay, which apparently is adaptable to most?? situations.
well i had a think about this, and i have no idea. English definately is not my forte.
id really really appreciate it if someone could provide me with an example, just to get the idea, even if its only a paragraph
thanx

What mine is, is that I have certain points that I write about in three essays
I'm doing changing perspective, and my points that cause a change in perspective include: transition to maturity, passing of time, and experiences in life
For each point, I discuss one or two Skrzynecki poems, and a related material, then I can relate "sky high" to each point.
In each point, you explain the TECHNIQUES used, so that answers any "how" questions
It's just about the way the questions worded
"how does your text show change"
"the texts show change through addressing changing perspective. The composers employ a variety of techniques..."
That was, you manipulate the question to suit the essay, rather than change the whole essay

Basically no matter what the question is, in most cases, you should be able to answer any question with the same basic essay. Then when you get the question you should mould it to the basic essay.

The basic essay consists of:

Intro: discussion of concept of change, introduce texts

Body: Core, Stimulus + Additional, mentioning techniques, textual references, end result of the change and what it says about change and the like...

Conclusion: basically sum up everything.

so bascially you should able to answer any sorta change question with this basic essay.

I did this for the trial, I had a basic essay and just modified the intro, and the end of each paragraph about each text, and the conclusion...

Hope that helps...

I specialise in a LOT more than english ;)

It's always the same concept, if you can manipulate the question to suit yourself then that's the way to go :D
The power is in your hands, not the BOS ;)
(d'oh, that's a whole other topic--powerplay :p)

Hey no problem, glad to help...
They say the best way to learn is to teach other so, I'm helping myself out as well :D

English is my specialty actually, after I do all four units of it. My next best subject is Modern History, the rest I do are only alright-ish. But stll hope to get 90+ UAI..... *fingers corssed*

I found this site in July, because they had all these posters at our school on the noticeboards advertising it, and also cause my friend "Alex" is the moderator here....

And yes we do have an unfair advantage :p :D

Would it still work if you made up an essay for witness even though its a close study of text. Like say our trials we had to talk about a scene. If i had already made up a essay previously how would i adapt it??

I dont understand
they cant ask u to closely study at text in the AOS section

anyway, similarly to Lilith and mercury, i have memorised a general essay that deals with everythin they can ask, because they'll always want u to talk about the nature of change, process of change, consequences (mayb not this yr?) and "how" this process is demonstrated through the language of the composer
if u kno how ur text demonstrates and how it develops change resonably well, u should be fine for the adapting bit

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying...

But, this works for everything for me, even for the modules
I know that in the modules the text type may not be an essay, but it's easy to manipulate the essay in my head to suit the text type but still keep the points in
