Recycle bin Help (1 Viewer)

Hey, before i ask, i did a thread search and found something similar to my problem but not exactly....

Basically, you know when u hit "DEL", the file/folder goes straight into the bin..ready to be empties.
You know when you hit "SHIFT-DEL" it gets deleted completely, and doesnt go in the bin at all.

So, im not sure if its the bin problem, or some config thats wrong, but everytime i hit "DELETE" or the red X to delete in mycomputer, it gets deleted , and never to be seen again in the recycle bin...



Help is appreciated....

Right click on your Recycle Bin -> Properties, uncheck "Do not move...."

Nope, that doesnt work Sunny

I tested it with making a folder on desktop then hittiing DEL, and it still bypasses recyle bin...

Yeah, im clean of virus's

It gives me the normal, "are you sure you wana delete etc" ....yes, then, it disappears, not in the bin at all...as if it got wiped completelly.

not just the icon that's not filled with stuff.

so i guess there goes my icon theory

yup, its reallly really gone, not in the icon bin, or in the bin under mycomputer...

Can you search for the file name? It might be getting moved elsewhere..

it should say do you want to move it to recycle bin

i had this before, could never get rid of it. got new computer and havent had any similar problems.

Heres what i says, when i hit DEL...


The bin is like a drive yes ? Any way to say, delete it, the drive, and then bring it back ? maybe the registry for it is corrupted ?
