Pfft, leadership change or no leadership change, there's no way Labor can win the next election anyhow.

I look forward to the Liberal state and federal double next year.

in respond to that ^

oh la di da he speaks chinese, do you think the chinese will be more likely to trade with australia just because the pm speaks chinese? all it does is save the tax payers money from hiring an interpretor.

workchoice in a way is not all bad, i feel that the idea itself is not bad, but the howard is trying to do too much too soon. but meh its a 50/50 for me.

yea ok, troop out of iraq, i support that, give it another 6 months

interest rates rise has NOTHING to do with the government you ignorant idiot. the reserve bank sets the rate independent of the elected party. go read some eco books.

rudd is more of a chance than beazley, but i'd bet my bottom dollar that labor wont win the this one, not when howard is caning it.

Interest rates are affected by government economic policy.

And that is how the Liberal Party smeared the ALP in the 2004 election

...

See there are two types of misinformed people in this debate:

1) Those that believe the government has direct control over what the interest rate is.

2) Those that believe because the government doesn't have direct control over what the interest rate is, governments are thereby not responsible for what the interest rate is.

Just because he wears glasses....

I have a strong feeling that Labor will lose the next election, not because Rudd sucks but rather that he is inexperienced and Liberals look far more organised than Labor. I mean, in the past 2 years, we've had 3 opp. leaders. Who knows? I may be wrong. Rudd really looks more like a family guy than Howard does.

The next thing you know is that in 2 weeks time, you'll find a cameraman knocked out in the carpark of a Hungry Jacks restaurant in South-Western Sydney.

Libs need to play on the fact that Gillard as deputy is inherently unstable because she's so ambitious herself.
