The sence in Seattle was so great for music these day. So much great music came out of it. Although I think it was a little harsh leaving mudhoney outta the poll, they were pretty important in the era. Another great act was Temple of the dog which was basically a collaboration between memebers of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.

I picked pearl Jam. Well they have been my favourite band since I was young. Eddies voice is simply amazing, and an experiance to behold live. Mike McCreddy is an awesome guitarist and his solos are bullshit. And the songs like betterman, alive, jeremy, nothing as it seems, given to fly, rear view mirror, even flow, do the evolution.....ok the list goes on.
