I did Egypt, Unification to the First Intermediate Period

it was awesome. i was so worried for this one, but one question was our assessment task from earlier this year, we had to do a 5000 word essay so i remembered heaps of examples of features, names of kings, quotes of historians and what it all meant politically and religiously.

i got 21/25 for the assessment, hopefully i got around that much for this too!

Agree about Greek World Part a)- Assess the impact of the Persian wars on sparta

What did others doing Greece argue here???
Loss of Leonidas at Thermopylae- cost of agreement with Athens
Pausanias - great victory at Plataea- but later brought shame upon Sparta at Byzantium( maybe not reliable accounts of this from Herod. and Plutarch...anti-Spartan)
Loss of power/ reputation amoungst Ionian states- revolting Helots at home????

Did anyone have other arguments??

What a tricky question!:uhoh:

i did new kingdom to death of thut IV

pretty good, egypt is my favourite. i did the building program one, because i couldnt think how anyone would write 25 marks worth of stuff just on the warrior pharaoh image... shrug.

but i couldnt remember what a few of the pharaohs built so i guessed, and hoped it was right.

it was kinda crappy writing 50 marks on him coz he's also my personality but hey, i knew about 5 marks worth on kadesh!
my essay was a bit all over the place but oh well, hopefully 20+.

My class studied Rome 133-78 as our historical period topic. The questions were shit though, so I answered the compare Tiberius/Caligula because that was a large portion of my History Extension project haha. So was pretty pleasing in the end.

Rome 28-31

Explain the Activities and Breakdown of the first Triumvirate

the SAME question in our trial... and it was the only section I lost marks on in the trial.

But yeah, having a second crack at it I think I did pretty well.

same!
but i was so happy to see an akhenaten question.
before the exam i go to my friends "im really hoping they have a question on the akhenaten revolution coz thats basically all ive studied"
and to my luck it was there!
i was amazed.
so i just basically spewed out everything from the personality question plus more lol.
i had to get another booklet which surprised me GREATLY!
it felt good though.
hopefully ill get at least an 18.

they were being too specific in this too.
gosh.

Greece 500 - 440BC

I hated both a and b.
A) would have been okay if it had asked about Athens, rather than Sparta, I know Athens stuff! D: Sparta = me clueless
And B) sucked, it was about Athens, but changing relationships with allies? I never mentioned the Delian League... I said stuff about how Athens' relationships with other Greek states changed because of the Persian wars... probably failed it lol. I think I talked about Themistocles a lot.
