hi im just wondering

1) if u take up 4 unit in year 12
do u still have to learn the content for 3unit hsc as well

2) so when u take the hsc exam for ext 2.
u do an ext 1 exam and then an ext 2 exam ?

sorri but im just curious (grade 11 this year ehehe)

Yes and yes

However you don't need to learn the 2unit course (unlike 4u english), even tho it may be considered pre-requisite knowledge.

You probably need to nkow the highlights of the 2unit course. I remember in our 3 unit trial (i did 4 unit), there wa sa question about Simpsons rule and half the 4 unit guys had forgoten what the hell the stupid rule was. Most of us had done 2unit last year and forgotten by the time trials cam around

put it this way, 25% of your ext2 maths paper will be 'harder' ext1 maths ... so not only do you have to know the content of ext1 maths, you'll need to know it well, if you are aiming high in ext2 ...
