I hope this hasn't already been done...
On another forum i'm a member of they have a sub-forum where members can post the lyrics and hyperlinks to songs they have written.
It gives songwriters a chance to have their music read and/or heard and also sometimes a place to go for inspiration for people who may want to write songs but dont know where to start
So i'm going to start by posting a school-related song of my own called Informalwhich was written and recorded the day after my yr 10 formal. I also thought it might make a good text for belonging AOE for 2009-onwards HSC english if anyone happens to be desperate for a song to use as a related text
so here it is
Informal
Have you ever felt so alone
Even though there’s a hundred people in the room
You do your best to mingle, make some friends
But nothing seems to work out in the end
Been thinking ‘bout this moment for so long
But everything you say seems to come out wrong
You happen to make a fool of yourself
In a while it’ll be known by everyone else
Have you ever felt so afraid
Self-conscious of everything you do and say
Walk on over to give this one last shot
But afterwards you wish that you had not
Sitting at a table with no friends
Looking at your watch saying “when will this end?”
Three hours of bad music
The awkwardness, it makes you feel sick
Friends hung over, you stayed sober
Lose your train of thought in all the stupid feelings in your head
Gone forever, it was then or never
Screwed the whole thing up and now your chance may never come again
The chance may never come again
