The feature article had me by the balls....it took me about 10 minutes to remember how to do them, but i still forgot to put in a heading....what really gives me the shits is my english teacher...

"...I assure you, there WILL be an essay in paper 1, so prepare for it..."

Wanker...

Could i write a decent feature article under normal circumstances on any other topic?
absoultely.

Could i write a feature article in 40mins on techniques of Gwen Harwood?
sort of... think essay with a byline and room for a heading but FORGOT damn it!! and then personal address to audience... man id lost it by then!

But can i ask who would read a feature article about writing techniques in a magazine aimed at changing ones life!?
I guess the BOS people would... since they set the question.

Fantastic question :D
Heading
Subheading
Interesting intro (slightly manipulated)
Insert normal essay here, with occasional use of "we"
End with a twist
:D:D

I hated it, it took me awhile to remember what I needed to put in.

arghhhh..... evil question!!!!!!!!.... ummm i wrote an essay... stuck a heading on it... added in a few "you" and "we" words to kinda personalise it or whatever... and threw a few rhetorical questions in there...
I didn't have anything to say though, so my attempt was really pathetic... and i kept repeating myself....it was also really open ended question so i didn't really know what to say...

Does anyone know what is the highest band we could get if we didn't write in style but the techniques and knowledge of texts was correct... ?

hmmmm i found it fine... i think.... ya never know with english i just inserted catchy title (which wasnt 2 catchy) then virtually rewrote my essay with 2 crap sketches (but thats still gonna pass as illustration) and then concluded with "be sure to grab a copy of next weeks issue to find how u can bring about change in ur own life blah blah blah) then wrote "written by blah" at the end

serously it wasn't hard...
but still forgot the title and address the audience '
remembered to write conclusion in a engaging tone guess that was a bit late though.....

i think it's just because it was under exam condition, otherwise u can write a smooth article, no problem.
