1. Posts contribute to an environment which fosters open discussion. We expect members to treat each other with a certain courtesy. If you disagree with a view, explain why, and don't insult someone for their views. However, obviously certain views will not be tolerated, for example rude, racist and sexist.


2. Posts aren't spam.

NB 1: These guidelines are open to interpretation by the moderators of the "News, Current Affairs & Politics" forum.

NB 2: An obvious implicit definition of pt 1 and pt 2 is that posts are (1) relevant, (2) mature, and (3) non-inflammatory. [eviltama]

Update

The following policy is now in place:

- Threads should start by referencing at least one news item (either by providing a link to a legitmate news source, or by quoting the article). Any threads that are not attached to a news item may be closed or deleted at our discretion.
- Any threads that use the same, or extremely similar articles may be collapsed or deleted. Similar threads that discuss a topic in different ways, citing different articles, will remain open at our discretion.
