To do this unit, or not do it, that is the question. (1 Viewer)

I'm in a slight dilemma atm about whether to do MATH2961 next sem or not.

MATH2961 - Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus (Adv)
Pros:
- helps with statistics (going to be one of my majors)
- interesting
- maths subject will nearly undoubtedly increase my WAM (though it's not like I need to increase it)
- can gain recognition for a subject that I'll independently study anyway if I don't do this unit (but in that case, I won't be doing tute questions/exam practice - only for understanding concepts).

Cons:
- 1 timetable clash (and if I don't do this unit, I'll have 2 2hrs breaks instead of 2 1hr breaks.)
- need to pay more
- will consume time and effort and this is also going to be my overload subject if I do it.
I overloaded by the same amount throughout my 2nd yr and still got HDs, but 3rd year may be harder? (just as 2nd year was harder than 1st year)
Not doing this unit will give me more time to spend on other subjects.

To me atm, the pros and cons seem about equally significant... Thoughts?
