yea, just tell us ur friends initial UAI and tell us specifically what course he/she wants to do.....
basically its the average of ur UAI and GPA.....and also depends on the NRSL

ummm.. he got 71.50 :) and I think the UAI cut-offs for BSc and BSc (Advanced) are 80.00 and 90.55 respectively.. any chances for Advanced Science? (he wants a career in science) and what kind of grades is he aiming at? Thank you!

even if he got straight HD's (converted GPA thingy of 99) he prob wouldnt get into Adv Sci, unless the NRSL cutoff is lower than the UAI cutoffs
however, BSc is possible...

Straight HD's

(71.5+99)/2
=85.25

Straight D's

(71.5+96)/2
=83.75

not sure about any below that though

so, yeah, checkout the NRSL cutoff, they can differ from the RSL cutoffs, but if he is above that, then he should get in

the NRSL cut-off is nearly always a lot lower than the UAI cut-offs.
Eg Law (UAI) = 99.3. NRSL = 95.xx

No, I mean lower, as I said. The NRSL cut-off is nearly always lower than the UAI cut-off.

I didn't - as far as I know, 95 is less than 99 ;)

If you want to find NRSL cutoffs, you'll have to inquire to the individual uni's yourself, as they dont publish the cutoff
