Hi,
Would an E-coli with recombinant insulin gene be considered a transgenic organism???

This was in the Catholic Paper, they asked me to name what a bacteria with a recombinant gene inserted into it was. Is this a transgenic organism!!
PLEASE

yes it is... transgenic species are those treated using recombinant DNA techology... e. coli genetically modified to produce insulin would be considered as one of those ...
