I got 57 m but the answer says 58 m, can someone please double check if the answer is correct or it was just an issue in my answer?

Thanks in advance!

It probably was something to do with rounding. They are getting 58m because they are rounding the decimal representing the length of AD to 0.215km. You can solve this question as follows:

With BD being the tower, a simple subtraction will lead us to the answer:

Does it matter if I round it before or after my answer?

You should only round after all calculations have been completed. Otherwise there there is an issue with intermediate rounding error.

I am not to sure what would be the protocol for question in multiple stages in highschool

e.g.

b i) correct to two decimal places

b ii)

Definitely what cossine said. The thing with this question is that if you do you will end up with 0.0571... km which is 57 m (same as your initial answer) so perhaps both answers are acceptable?
