Are there any UNE students here?

I'm just trying to find out what sort of data limits you have on the internet connection (I've heard 300MB/semester)

And how much it costs to get more...

any ideas?

Hmmm this is what i found on the website...

"The quota for undergraduate students is currently set to 300MB per year. A charge of $0.15 / MB will apply once you have reached the limit."

300MB a year... that is completely hopeless...

Actually...it'll cost you $450.

Assuming the worst they take 1GB=1000MB

3000MB * $0.15 = $450

eeeep.

More concerned about gaming :/

I've heard now that theres a union thing that maxes a monthly payment to $19, but either way, shouldnt i be able to use a normal ISP (as i am living on campus, shouldnt i be able to manage my own internet connection?)

At ANU, you start off with a 20mb limit and it gets topped up with 5mb a day. The max you account can have is 40mb and the minimum is -20mb. BUt you can browse .edu or .edu.au sites for "free".

It isnt bad if you are just browsing.
