are there any university courses that require you to have done:

a) extension 1 english

b) economics

for your HSC?

At least under UAC, I don't think there are any "prerequisites" for any course. There are just assumed and recommended knowledge, but these can be bridged or learned individually. For the two listed, I haven't come across any courses that have those are prerequisites.

But you should get someone else to confirm.

I agree with D94, it's all recommended/assumed. So you could take them up as bridging courses to get a feel for the subjects recommended.

I know International studies, for example, have economics as a recommended sub.. not sure about ext english.

if you're in year 10 now, pick your subjects on what you reckon you can stand to study constantly for the next 2 years without going mad

worry about uni later
