Volumes of Solids of revolution (1 Viewer)

Hey guys I am doing ok in the integration and finding volume part but the hard part seems to be visualising the solid formed when the f(x) is revolved. So for example what would y= x^2-1 look like when rotated about x axis and y axis? Its hard to visualise this. The integration is simple as soon as you can see the solid formed. Does anyone else face this?
Any suggestions or solutions?

Assuming you are talking about 2 unit Volumes, there really is no need to be able to visualise the solid, provided you can correctly identify the region which is being rotated.
