ok well i jsut got offered a place in UNSW under the program electrical engineering.
This is my first time doing this like all and i am confused about the courses i have to select?
why are there 5 courses to choose from?
i thoguth i was studying electrical engineering? or are those courses little topics studied in the engineering course like maths - algebra, calucus etc

if so how many courses do i pick??

Your Degree may not always be full of courses that are relevant. However there are courses which are considered Pre-Requisites to start your 2nd/3rd year courses.
