If this is on your laptop then you should download AdAware and SpyBot(Search'n'Destroy) which removes most of the spyware on your computer.

AND PLEASE delete that link.

Tell your brother to stop visiting dodgy porn sites.

Yes, you can download files, but there are restrictions on the size of downloads and this is controlled by the University’s networking team.

by the sounds of this, they dont have an automated program. if i had a laptop i would go and rape their bandwidth with legal downloads, service packs, etc. i highly doubt they would do much.

i had a friend who was downloading mp3's once....i told him to stop you fool! just stay legal, and they wont do much.

Goddamit, you had to change your e-student password today, so I spend like 10 minutes coming up with a new one, but then realised I could change it to something stupid and change it back to my old one (the first instance of changing had to be a different password).

comee onn asyy
i think their pretty neat

ms spyware has some new scanning engine thingo now
and the other 2 do a pretty good job
nd the spywareblaster should keep well minimise more crap gettin onto ur comp

and their relatively simple for the everyday average user to use
without having to look through lines of text from log files from hijackthis to remove ur prob

You don't need to look through the text file, just point and click, the point of the text file is to make it easier for people helping you to find out what's on the screen.

None of the others even stands a chance against nail.exe

but then i was talkin about the situation at hand not nail.exe
agreed hjt would remove it all but then it would require more time nd effort for someone looking for a diy point nd click solution to their problems
without havin to scan save the log upload the logs then wait for someone to get back to them and tell them what exactly it says and what they have to remove and how

each to their own i guess

It's good to use a combination rather than rely on just one of those that have been listed. Adware and Spybot generally find the more common spyware and nasties which you get surfing around the internet.

http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/InternetOptimizer.html

this link contains a removal tool:

LINK REMOVED

That website uses SpyHunter as a removal tool. SpyHunter is a rogue in Ad-awares database
That's why i usually suggest otherwise.

Secondly, all those programs are install programs, and take a bit of tinkering with in the first place, and could get things which may or may not get 'rogue' files.

With HjT you have a much more controlled atmosphere as well as revealing other things and identifying any other symptoms, cause lets face it, hardly anyone ONLY gets a singular adware/malware/spyware.
