woke up this morning to read an email from one of the college heads

Collegians

I write briefly to confirm what many will have heard by word of mouth, viz. that there was an accident on High Street in the early hours of this morning in which a young male person was run down and killed by a truck. Although no identification has been made at this stage, there is no reason to believe that the victim is a member of the TKC community. Naturally the Heads will remain in contact with the police until we can be sure that one of our people is not involved. When more information is available it will be conveyed. In the meantime the accident is a salutary reminder of what a dangerous road High Street is. The utmost caution is always required when we approach and use it.
