i'm actually quite curious as well. the way you've presented the situation so far would suggest you're hurrying things with your fiancee due to some health reason which may suggest you don't have the same life expectancy as the average person

i'm planning on using the diamond from my nan's engagement ring, and whoever i get engaged to can use the gold that's there, it's worn a bit thin so he might need to put a little more gold in, but overall, it won't cost much at all, my boyfriend -> fiance spending a lot of money on me doesn't make my relationship any happier.

it's only a small [in comparison to those massive ones out there] stone, but i like small and low profile. =]]. sparkly is good though.

well, erm, im not exactly living at home..or on speaking terms with my parents right now.

...i dont think it is too early for commitment, the wedding is planned for 2012, so, in the mean time, we shall see

Apart from not caring about marriage, diamonds irk me something fierce. From a practical point of view they are rocks with drastically inflated prices, but overall I just don't want to aid in the wheels of diamond mining and the horrible shit that happens cos of it turning.
