3 band 6's but didnt get a 90? (1 Viewer)

i got 3 band 6s only and got 98.9

and they were like low ones 90-92

You must of had high scaling subjects, accompanied with high band 5's in your other subjects.

I got a band 4 and got 97! (didn't count to my ATAR though)... But it's obviously possible to get a band 4 in one subject and still get a 90 +

If you got 49 in english advanced, 100 in ext1 math, 100 in ext2 math, 100 in chemistry and 100 in physics, you would get uai of approximately 95.3 (based off sam).

I think your 89 ATAR IS strange! Because ALL of my subjects are pretty low-scaled. I got 3 band 6's (General Maths, Legal and Business Studies). And 2 high band 5's (again, low scale subjects - English Standard and PDHPE) and my ATAR was 94.

I thought all language courses scale up and your German result is pretty impressive. Maybe you should discuss it with your career counsellor?

it just depends what u got.

there is some point where all subjects scale up - that is they start contributing significantly more to your atar aggregate...


for those poor sods that got band sixes and didnt get 90....you simply didnt do well enough

My school has Band 1's every year. Kids who get Band 1's usually just rewrite some parts of the question in their answer and leave it at that.

My friend got a low band 4 in adv english and his ATAR was really good (95+) because of his science and maths results
