enter 92 as atar aim. the calculator will spit out the marks you need to get in your subs to get 92.

then go on the forums and search for raw marks database, match those marks with the raw marks and there you go =)

This pretty much. Matrix does the ATAR to Marks thing. ATAR calculators would probably give you a better indication then us.

input the atar you want and the subjects your taking, and it gives you the relative marks you need in each.

From http://www.matrix.edu.au/atar-calculator/,

How to estimate HSC Marks from your ATAR goal

1. Select the 'REVERSE ATAR' tab.
2. Enter your subjects. One 2-unit English subject (Advanced, Standard, or ESL) must be entered first.
3. Enter your ATAR goal.
4. Select 'Calculate ATAR' tab and then change your HSC Mark, Percentile or Scaled Marks to learn how this affects your ATAR.

lol yeah i got that. So the marks under "HSC Mark" are the marks i need to get the desired atar right?
except those are scaled marks..
and not the actual raw marks. to find that out search "raw marks database" on the forums.

wow..
goal of 92 atar, can't follow simple instructions?

as the post above says:

match up the marks from the database to the marks you got from the calculator.

the marks you got from the atar calc are scaled..
the marks in the database, show how RAW marks become scaled marks.
so you get your SCALED marks from the matrix calc, match them up to the database and find out what raw marks you need.

raw marks = the marks you actually get e.g. you get 100/120 RAW in the HSC in 2u maths. This will then align and become a 90 HSC mark (aligned/scaled).

my bad wording then..

the marks that you get /100 are your aligned marks, the marks /50 are scaled.
use the aligned marks and match those up against the database.
