Is it ok to be reliant on the CAS calculator for such things as (e.g)factorizing polynomials or should I be more focused on developing the skills to actually solve equations?

You should develop the skills to solve equations. In an exam, you won't have the CASE calculator at your disposal.

for a start never touch that calculator again. ask ur teacher or this forum or learn from textbooks. it truly isn't that hard
