they can be extremely specific; just bail or just post-sentencing or they can be broad like the 6 syllabus areas or 'criminal justice system' or 'processes and institutions'
so if u just had an essay based on the 5 sections whats ur plan if they ask a specific q??

would it be enough for family to have 1 big para on same sex, 2 for domestic violence, and 1 for parental responsibility
you might also want a paragraph on children- bcs two of the issues are on that, like the changing nature of parental responsibility, and how the "best interests of the child" has become a paramount consideration in family law act 1975. and also discuss how the need for "shared parental responsibility" has changed with the 2023 reform. there are also some good cases and such.

The Government of Gillardia passes a statute allowing mining companies to release unprocessed waste water into rivers. Protesters can be arrested and imprisoned without trial if they attempt to prevent water releases. Which of the following rights are being violated?

a) Economic, social and cultural rights and the collective right to self determination
b) Civil and political rights and the individual right to self determination
c) The right to a clean environment and economic, social and cultural rights
d) Civil and political rights and the right to a clean environment

Is the answer b or d?

For electives, would it be likely that they specify non-legal measures?? But since non-legal measures only encompass NGOs and media, its proportionally so much smaller than legal measures and there's a lot less to talk about.. + they lack enforceability so you can't argue much
