I’ve never heard of class availability being an issue at usyd, for data last sem they just let in more people and created extra tutes and people were like overflowing into hallways for the first lecture lol

if im deferring and waiting for USYD to accept my deferral, should I swap my UAC preferences at all? I.e. put UNSW higher for next round just to guarantee another offer, despite being pretty sure I want to go to USYD? I want to maximise my chance of confirming my spot in USYD

you can get another uac offer just make sure you don’t accept it or else it’ll override the old one

Some other retailers like office works or Jbhifi might sell Macs or iPads for a cheaper price than the Apple Store

Pen and paper is not worth it imo. I personally use my ipad to annotate my lecture slides, gave up writing notes by the end of semester one

depends what ur studying, i personally exclusively use pen and paper because for me notes are just to remember stuff during the lecture anyway and it’s best for memory retention, depends what ur studying though. definitely still need a decent laptop for uni though a lot of stuff is done online these days

Def getting a tablet, it'll be much more convenient imo then having to carry multiple books

i personally use both, iPad for annotating lecture slides then paper+pen for final exam notes
