i mean like trials and stuff are usually harder so u gotta see the positivity type shityes, because I expect to know the entire syllabus at the end after not having to deal with writing pointless internal essays and science reports and stupid math assignments.
HSC isn't uni, nor is it suppose to replicate the assessment style of uni. HSC is suppose to RANK people for uni. HSC is suppose to rank how booksmart you are. Trying to be a jack of all trades but master of none by including subjective internals just ruins it.
Also external exams testing the entire syllabus is not unheard of... for example, A Level does it where they sit like 8 hours of EXTERNAL papers in total for one subject
except the HSC is at the end of the day is testing booksmart, not practical skills. Hence why it culminates as a final external paper. Some internal assessments are important to test skills that a HSC style exam cannot. For example, practical exams for Chemistry. You cannot really be good at Chemistry if you just memorise theory and can’t even run experiments properly. You need to be good at both.
Absolutely not!and to be fair a single external exam would make it much easier for selective kids to band 6 than non selective and non private school kids as the hsc is usually made easier so it can be done by everyone. but still, kids from lower ranked schools do not have the proper practice and are significantly disadvantaged compared to selective students. therefore to make it fairer, i think internals are needed to help the talented kids in non selective and non private schools.
fuck the american education system, i hate american education system. It's the most bs system ever, especially the process one needs to go through in order to get into university.we should be like america, they only do SATs for entry into uni
so its not forced upon everyone who wants to graudate or whatever only if you wanna go univeristy
[also they're very easy so we should have that]
A good one at that. You need like a 1600/1600 sat score OR close to that but many extracurriculars, letters of recommendations, personal essays to even get into a top 100 uni as well. Meanwhile usyd and unsw you only need a 70 atar for some useless courses which is just averageA

i actually like doing the hsc on paper.... I write faster then i type...Also why is nesa so slow and still making the hsc on paper. Like they're killing 10000 trees each year. Even NAPLAN is online
my handwriting sucks and plus it hurts our wrists. I'm so much better with typingi actually like doing the hsc on paper.... I write faster then i type...
NO THIS IS THE BEST PART. AI IS FUCKING STUPID SO THEY WILL FAIL. also ppl just memorise ai written essays. the only difference in exams is that they don't get caughtyess I'd love that. But at the same time there's more of a chance of people cheating using ai, asking other people to do it for them tho
I mean you can argue that you don't need to go through the HSC or directly into an uni to do what you want to do or make money, Tafe exists for a reason, plus the case still applies to the US. But like the actual curriculum and system is just complete bs, there's a reason why there is so many students fail basic literary and numeracy tests.A good one at that. stuff that requires working out definitely should stay on paper, especially mathsAlso why is nesa so slow and still making the hsc on paper. Like they're killing 10000 trees each year. Even NAPLAN is online
fun fact about Ai i have learnt from a friend who meddles with the stuff, as time goes on, the stuff that spews out will get worse and worse because they train the models off their own response. Hence the overall average performance (specifically in the case of literary) will be lowered.NO THIS IS THE BEST PART. AI IS FUCKING STUPID SO THEY WILL FAIL. also ppl just memorise ai written essays. the only difference in exams is that they don't get caught
literally the only exceptionpretty sure in math exams u have to think critically, unlike hand ins, where i can just ask chatgpt and boom.
yeah but eng and humanities subjects def should be onlinestuff that requires working out definitely should stay on paper, especially maths
well its quite scary someone can go to ur computer when ur in the toilet or somewhere else and delete everything at the last minute, or u let ur intrusive thoughts win and u delete everything urselfyeah but eng and humanities subjects def should be online
that's why each person should have a password to it and u close it when u go to the bathroom. But literally someone can go up to ur desk and rip up ur papers so same problemwell its quite scary someone can go to ur computer when ur in the toilet or somewhere else and delete everything at the last minute
where's the invigilator in this case?well its quite scary someone can go to ur computer when ur in the toilet or somewhere else and delete everything at the last minute
