I think that is a common abbreviation so you should be fine, just make sure you obviously show what it stands for.

idk cuz one of my teachers said its disrespectful but the other one said it doesnt matter so idk. i might just refer to them as First nations people

I wouldnt do that. In legal, we studied how that abbreviation is really offensive to Aboriginal people
