I'm not sure how it works but if you try year 11 your chances are slim because you're new but for year 12, if you can try out, then do it after you've shown people you are capable and likable for a year (saying that being yourself is the best approach).
You can get past 90 but since you don't have any ext. subjects, there's nothing that'll boost you up too far, but as long as you get good results you can get over 90.
