    Age Difference

There's a 16 year gap in my relationship. It can work.

    working around uni holidays

Hi all. I wanted your opinions on my prospects of finding a job that fits in with my schedule. I'm from Newcastle but moving to Canberra to study at ANU in 2010. I desperately need a job (gap years are spectacular money eaters, my god) but I'm kinda freaking out that I won't be able to find one...

Least Favourite Text for section one.

Uh, the poem was not about a dog or Charles Darwin. WTH? Peter Goldsworthy lived in Darwin. It was about him. To be honest I thought text 1 was the worst, it was a little useless. It's an easy mark and everything but I thought perhaps they could be more.. adventurous. The rest I really liked.

Thanks accolade. So what kind of career paths does the global studies option set you up for, as opposed to the other streams? I'm pretty sure I want to do IntSt but I'm not sure what area I would want to specialise in. Also, apart from the obvious language thing, does your choice affect...

    Int'l Studies

The information here is really great and has answered most of my questions, so thanks to those who have already posted (even if it was a while ago). I'd like to know more about global studies - I don't really understand what it's about, and the info page on the UNSW site is broken. What sort...

    Haruki Murakami/Banana Yoshimoto

I'm halfway through The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, and I don't find it boring at all. Usually I like straight forward, realistic plots but Murakami knows how to blend the surreal with the everyday. It's strangely satisfying to read his stuff. What's everyone's favourite book by him? I want know...

    Youth Exchange

NRuus: did you speak much Finnish before you went? I was thinking of applying for a Youth Exchange or Gap program, but the thought of going somewhere where I don't speak the language terrifies me. Is it as hard as I'm imagining?
