Okay, so I've done the experiment but I still don't understand what I'm supposed to write about the reaction. I feel so stupid but I just don't understand. :( The potato covered in saliva turned black in extreme heat, slowly turned black in room temperature and did nothing in freezing water...

That sounds terrible.. I know I'd feel alittle weird if my friends started doing that. I don't blame you for just wanting to have fun, but it sounds like they are too serious about the rest of their lives. It's good, but bad too. Maybe talk to them about it? I hope it all works out for you. :]
