well if everyone in your cohort that does bio (incl you) gets 100 in the HSC you will get 100 overall as 100 (mark for your internal rank) + (100 your exam mark)] divided by 2 which is clearly a band 6.
so technically it is possible- start doing those past papers

if this helps my tutor got 99 percentile (this was a couple of years ago) and was hitting around 85% in practice papers so for 70-80 I would estimate 50-60%
dont repeat! you won't be as pumped the next year and the estimates were super conservative so you can still pull it up and possibly make it into unsw (provided you pwn umat and interview) :/
to increase chances of doing well? like any other non-selective school student who gets tutoring. teachers in some selective school teach so that they assume the class knows the content from tutoring and focus on harder stuff which means that people that don't get tutoring will end up doing so
Bringing some things to the library to study isn't very difficult, people who have a room to themselves or fine conditions for studying at home often still choose to study at the library- aircon, free wifi :)

Personally group study has never worked for me, distractions and the fact that the bottom line is getting a good ranking. Sharing/collaborating notes is useful though and studying with a friend or two (doing individual study) can motivate you to keep going.
